Operations Administrator - Merit Auctions Ft. Madison, IA

Merit Auctions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented person to join our team. The Operations Administrator will be responsible for basic accounting, assisting with auction processes and graphics. This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively. This is a full-time position at our Fort Madison, IA location.

Job Duties:

  • Basic bookkeeping and accounting
  • Assist in initial setup of auctions on online platforms
  • Auction settlements
  • Clerking auctions
  • Assist with graphics and social media as required
  • Engage with customers in a professional manner
  • And other duties as may be assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Basic data entry/keyboarding skills
  • Accounting experience
  • Graphic design and social media experience helpful
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

    Sales Producer- Merit Auctions Remote

    Merit Auction is looking for several aggressive sales producers to join our growing team.  Merit is looking to grow throughout the Mid-West and Southeast and are seeking candidates that want to join the fun and fast-paced auction business.  Territory coverage area for a Sales Producer will have responsibility for multiple counties in a given state and areas include some of the following – Bainbridge GA, Dothan AL, Cullman AL, Statesboro GA, Stuttgart AR, Columbia MO, Boone IA, Sioux Falls SD, Springfield IL, and  Paducah KY.

    The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with a background in the agricultural or construction industry, auction experience a plus. Producer positions can either be full-time or structured as an Independent Contractor.

    Job Duties:

    • Engage with equipment dealers, farmers, and contractors in your surrounding counties
    • Create, with the help of the marketing team, proposals and bids on equipment and land auctions
    • Communicate with sellers in a clear and positive way
    • Picture, promote, and represent equipment you have contracted for auction
    • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with all existing and new customers
    • Quickly resolves customer issues as they arise
    • Assist with the company’s quarterly consignment auctions
    • Review and approve customer settlements & auction agreements
    • Represent Merit Auctions in a professional manner
    • Emphasis on Growing the brand

    Job Requirements:

    • 2+ years of recent and relevant sales experience required (preferably within the agricultural or construction industries)
    • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
    • Extremely organized and able to multi-task
    • Proficiency in English and in MS Office required
